Opening Day was just a bit more crowded than Media Day.

Captain Lee Munro and an elephant were on hand for the opening.

Live entertainment added to the festivities.

There were at least twelve radio stations broadcasting live from the park. One of them was...Radio Disney? 

All the new portals were finished for opening day. The whole Discovery Kingdom team pitched in the night before to get the park ready.
