Vallejo, CA – Six Flags Discovery Kingdom kicks off a new year of thrilling family fun on Saturday, February 28, launching its longest season ever with unprecedented pricing, amazing animal encounters and a full slate of interactive park offerings that bring to life the best in Land, Sea and Sky.
As part of the extended season long celebration, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will offer a line-up of new shows and attractions that provide top-tier entertainment as well as guest benefits that ensure a value-packed experience for the entire family. Some of the major headlines this season include:
$49.99 for Season Passes - the lowest price since 2002 and only $5 more than a one-day ticket. Season Passes offer unlimited visits to any Six Flags theme park in the United States, five free tickets for friends and more than $300 in savings on in-park food and fun. In addition, Season Pass holders will enjoy exclusive ride times as well as a private Season Pass Holder Appreciation night on September 18.
Odin’s Temple of the Tiger - This spring, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom opens the gates on an expansive new arena and debuts an original tiger experience starring Odin, a male white Bengal tiger world-renowned for his underwater diving skills. This majestic show partners Odin with a trio of Siberian tigers and two playful young juvenile Bengal cubs in an amazing demonstration of power and agility.
STARBURST® Summer Concert Series - Music takes a front seat this season as the park debuts a new concert series with some of the industry’s hottest acts including Raven Symoné and Miranda Cosgrove. All concerts are free with park admission or a Season Pass.
Johnny Rockets Express and Funnel Cakes/Cold Stone Creamery – All new restaurants feature tasty favorites. Get the best burgers and shakes at a new Johnny Rockets Express location in the Land area, and a new Cold Stone Creamery is a flavorful addition to the main entrance funnel cake site.
Live and Local - Local musicians have the chance to showcase their skills during “Live and Local” – a daily concert event highlighting undiscovered, homegrown talent.
Discover Going Green – Guests are encouraged to “go green” this season as the park introduces this eco-conscious initiative in partnership with Spare the Air and Alco Iron. Throughout the season, guests will be reminded of steps they can take to recycle, reuse and reduce their impact on the environment both at the park and at home.
“Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has always been a premiere destination for affordable, close to home family fun,” said Eric Gilbert, Park President. “With our slate of entertainment options and special events, we’re offering our guests a summer of escape with value like never before.”
