Deja Vu Coming to Silverwood

Silverwood theme park in Idaho has announced that they will indeed be adding Deja Vu in 2008. The long time rumor has finally come true as the former Six Flags Great America attraction is being packed up for moving. The addition to Silverwood will be the largest and most expensive ride ever added. The ride is set to open in July 2008.

See ya old Paramount websites! The former Paramount Parks' websites have gone down as the new ones are about to debut. It's nice to see the last bits of Paramount vanish after several years of hanging around. The new Cedar Fair sites are set to debut on Friday. Here is a link to California's Great America's site. 
 
 
Hard Rock Park Opening Date

According to the Hark Rock Park website, the Myrtle Beach park could begin soft openings as soon as April 15th. A soft opening is used for the park to work out the kinks before having the grand opening with press on hand, etc. The official opening is set for May 9th. The park is also expected to unveil the guitar icon that is seen in the concept art above. You can view the Hard Rock Park website here.

Holiday in the Park Video

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has come to a close, but you can check out the event from the perspective of the Travel Channel. You can view the video from the Travel Channel here.
 
I was there the evening that they were filming most of the segment, so that was pretty cool. Technically I'm in a few shots when they are walking down the midway towards Medusa. But with the quick moving video and YouTube quality you can't make me out. 
 
 
Dark Knight Coaster Art

 The Dark Knight coasters are Six Flags' latest attempt to bring in the familes. The concept art for the Dark Knight at Six Flags Great America was recently put on display at No-Coaster Con for coaster enthusiasts to take a look at.  The concept art confirms that there will indeed be a pre-show. Also, there is art of the cars which are four person wild mouse cars that are themed to look like a subway car. Check out all the concept art and plans here.
