For the first time ever, guests will be able to experience the physical and psychological horror of “SAW’s” maniacal killer Jigsaw firsthand at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights: Ripped from the Silver Screen.  Guests will find themselves inside the terrifying labyrinth that they have only witnessed on the silver screen – until now.  Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights: Ripped from the Silver Screen runs 23 select nights from September 25 to October 31 and features all-new haunted houses, scarezones and shows.  © 2009 Universal Orlando. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood has released the above image from the all new Containment Zone, a new scare-zone that is apart of the Terror Tram: Live or Die. The Terror Tram is a unique experience to Universal Studios Hollywood where guests ride the studio tour trams down to the studio's back lot. There, guests walk sets ranging from the Bates Motel to the War of the Worlds.

According to the park, the Containment Zone is, "...an elaborately themed, zombie-ridden scare zone, bringing scenes from an unmade movie to life as part of a Terror Tram: Live Or Die experience at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event, which begins a 16-night run on October 2 at Universal Studios Hollywood!"

Shoot the Rapids at Cedar Point

After an elaborate teaser campaign, Cedar Point has announced that their new for 2010 ride will be Shoot the Rapids. The Intamin water ride will feature two drops (85 ft. & 49 ft.), 2,100 feet of flume, and will have a ride time of approximately three minutes. Shoot the Rapids will use ten passenger boats with over the shoulder lap bars that were seen this year on Holiday World’s Pilgrim’s Plunge.

According to the Cedar Point website, the $10.5 million ride will be based around a feuding family in the Appalachian Mountains: “The feudin's been goin' on fer decades. Now, climb aboard and immerse yourself in one of the wildest water expeditions this side of the Appalachians!

“You'll board your boat inside the Crystal Rock Bottling Company and travel through rivers, around an illegal moonshine still and encounter some wild feudin' and fightin'. We still have no clue what they're fightin' over (it could be Whyte Lightnin'), but yer sure to be a part of it!”

Universal Studios Hollywood is ramping up for this year's Halloween Horror Nights! The park is unveiling details for the brand-new, "Saw: Game Over" maze that will debut this Halloween season. Here is what the park has to say about the new maze:

“Saw: Game Over” is one of four fearsome new  "live" maze experiences and six new "scare zones" to be featured at the all-new "Halloween Horror Nights" for 2009 at Universal Studios Hollywood (SM). In addition to the “Saw” attraction, new “live” experiences will be based upon the movies “Halloween,” “My Bloody Valentine,” “Shaun of the Dead” and “Child’s Play” (featuring “Chucky”) in 16 nights of intense horror beginning October 2.

I don't know about everyone else...but I am pumped for this year's Halloween Horror Nights! Last year was my first visit, and I'm sure that this year will be even crazier!
