Happy New Year! Yet another year has passed us by and a new one arrives. A lot has happened in the past year and there will surely be even more in the next. I wish a happy, prosperous, safe, (and all that good stuff) New Year to all. In the next week look for some 2008 retrospective articles and even a recap of a how a theme park welcomes in the New Year. Citywalk Hollywood to Welcome 2009

Citywalk at Universal Studios Hollywood will welcome in 2009 with live music and fireworks come New Year’s Eve. The entertainment district will feature two separate locations for celebration at either end of the outdoor promenade. Universal Studios Hollywood will be open from 9 AM to 8 PM on December 31st. Dollywood & Silver Dollar City Christmas

Copyright 2008 :: Scott and Carol Scott and Carol of News Plus Notes have two holiday updates from two Hershend parks. The first is Dollywood’s eighteenth annual Smokey Mountain Christmas. The park has rides open including coasters and even their train which is transformed into the Polar Express. Plus the park turns their world class shows into Christmas themed performances. The park’s twentieth annual Old Time Christmas event is similar to Dollywood in that they put on great stage shows. They even have “A Christmas Carol” show! Carolina Cobra Paint Scheme

Carowinds has new photos of Carolina Cobra, the park’s new for 2009 Boomerang coaster. The construction of the coaster has been completed and repainting has begun. The first look at the indoor segment of Saw: The Ride has been released. Thorpe Park Mania has a look at the station which features a very well themed industrial area.
